Glasshouse Country Heritage Tour
HISTORY BUFFS WILL LOVE THIS TOUR.
We travel to historic sites such as the Peachester and Beerburrum cemeteries. This will involve some leisurely strolls, so wear comfortable closed shoes and sun protection.
The history of the region is evident in the head stone inscriptions, and guest speakers will be invited to share some of the stories surrounding the people buried in the cemeteries.
One of the local museums and buildings such as Bankfoot House, Landsborough Museum and the Peachester Heritage centre can be included in this tour. Of course there is too much to see in one tour, so come back and visit more sites next time.
There will be a stop for morning tea, and plenty of time for toilet stops, taking photos, and looking for names and dates in the cemeteries.
