I had a fun day working with my friends at @mysticmountaintours today. Andrew and Lynn trusted me with their coach and valued garden club guests for a trip to Government House.
We received a warm personal greeting from the Governor of Queensland, Dr Jeanette Young.
Morning tea included a Queensland shaped biscuit. 😊
This was an amazing tour and is highly recommended. The volunteer tour guides gave us an appreciation for the history of the office of Governor, and the building and contents.
The staff didn't let me near the keys for the Rolls. 🥴
Collaborating with other small business operators makes my world so much better.

What a great day of networking at SCOUT23 today.
Lauren from QCamel invited me to share a stand so we could market our Camel Cuddle Tour.
Our guests love this tour - it combines visits to beautiful sites around the Glass House Mountains, morning tea and cuddles with the gentle camels at @qcameldairy then lunch at a local venue.
A great day out.
Thanks @visitsunshinecoast for creating this great networking event for local tourism businesses. We met some great people and enjoyed an uplifting information session that fired us up to be better operators.

I am re-reading this amazing book by Libby Connors

I am re-reading this amazing book by Libby Connors while sitting on Jinibara Country, beside Wivenhoe Dam.

I am trying to picture the scenes here during the 1840's, when young warrior Dundalli led the resistance against European incursions on traditional lands in what is now South East Queensland.

There is a lot to take in. The traditional lores and laws were complex. There were so many misunderstandings between traditional owners and new settlers.

Having had almost no school education about First Nations People, it is great to have a wide range of resources to draw on these days.

A special birthday celebration was arranged for a

A special birthday celebration was arranged for a delightful couple this week.

A great morning visiting local farms was followed by a generous lunch of prawns, salad, 🍍, finger limes, dragon fruit, quiche, vegetable pancakes and rice paper rolls. Bubbly was also on the menu.

The bus and tour was booked so these two had it all to themselves. ❤️

A huge thank you to Jade at @greenvalleyfingerlimes , Karen at @yanallafarms , Steve Moffat from @allandalepines and the crew from @familytreecafe at Landsborough for making it a special day.

The picnic was voted as the best ever.

We can't wait to show off our local produce this July at the #celebrateglasshousecountrylongtablelunch as part of @thecuratedplate. Make sure you book early!

She has a long list of chores for me, but I am also taking time for reading and learning.
I can recommend this book, "The Dreaming Path - Indigenous thinking to change your life".
Beautifully written by Paul Callaghan with Uncle Paul Gordon, it is positive and insightful.
I will share some touring memories over the next few weeks, and my reading material.

We beat the heat today! Overnight rain and a lovely breeze was a blessing for the last Meet the Farmers Tour for the year.

Great to be joined by Kirsten, Kerry and Bruce.

Thanks to Ginger of @vanillavine_sunshinecoast for the tour of vanilla vines, coffee and tea plantations and a taste of your amazing cold brewed coffee. 😋

A big thanks also to Karen of @yanallafarms for showing us what goes into being a successful grower of lychees, custard apples and dragon fruit.

The storm skirted around us and cooled us at the end of the tour. ❤️
